Job overview
Working within a small team, you will participate in the technical development of different websites and applications for the company.
 
Main tasks:
 
  • Develop and integrate websites
  • Develop and integrate complex web interfaces
  • Develop and optimize applications and APIs
  • Create and develop technical documentation for the Web department and adapted to the users’ knowledge
  • Support application/website users 
 
Your professional skills:
 
  • 5 years’ minimum experience in web development
  • Excellent front-end development knowledge (CSS3 / HTML5 / Javascript / CSS pre-processor / Responsive design)
  • Perfect command of at least one Javascript framework (AngularJS, Backbone.js, React/Flux…)
  • Good back-end development knowledge (PHP / MySQL / MVC frameworks)
  • Command of task-running tools (Grunt / Gulp)
  • Command of versioning tools (git)
  • Good Linux/Unix knowledge (Ubuntu)
  • Other skills:
    • Command of the Fuelphp framework
    • Command of testing tools (Jasmine, Karma, Protractor, Selenium)
    • Development skills with Web Services / API Rest
    • Command of Drupal and Wordpress CMS

Administrative Assistant

Job overview
 
We are currently looking for an Administrative Assistant who will perform accounting and finance tasks, support the HR department and will support in office management activities.
 
Your main goal will be to ensure accounting system compliance with generally accepted accounting principles for auditing purposes; to ensure local and State compliance with policies and regulations.


Main tasks:
 
Accounting
  • Account all invoices and Pre-audit, verifies and process Debtors’ invoices and other disbursements
  • Reconcile Petty Cash and bank accounts statements on a monthly basis, prepare payments by verifying documentation
  • Pre-audit, verifies and processes employee expenses claims, cash advances, reviewing rules for employee compliance
  • Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reports
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information
  • Prepare documentation to be transferred to local accounting companies, control outputs with internal accounting system
  • Introduce credit advices in our in-house software and make keen the database accurate 
 
HR
  • Support the HR Department for Payroll and administrative tasks
  • Help with translations, review documentation and report to the department useful information

Logistic and administration
  • Reception of items/goods from the Head Office in Montreux
  • Handle the storage and keep track of IT small material
  • Liaise with local services providers and authorities
  • Manage the activities of the cleaning personnel of the office
  • Any other tasks upon request supporting the Accounting and HR Departments 

Your experience:
 
  • You possess a degree in Finance and/or a specialisation in Accounting
  • You have more than 4 years’ experience in a similar position

Your professional skills and education:
 
  • You have the ability to perform all administrative tasks to the highest standard within given timescales
  • You have the ability to work on own initiative as well as having excellent team-working skills
  • You have an excellent organisational skills including ability to keep accurate records
  • You have great computer skills

For our Online Marketing department, we are currently looking for a Regional Online Marketer, someone who can relate to our brand and promote it through online channels by sharing interesting content online – we call this Outreach.
 
You will be based in our Barcelona office as part of a small team of multi-lingual Regional Online Marketers, in liaison with our Montreux Headquarters.
 
You will report to the Global Online Marketing Manager, and will require a very creative, flexible and proactive approach to your work.  You are a native Spanish speaker and are fluent in English, with a genuine taste for written and verbal communication.
 
Main tasks:
 
  • Work within the Regional Online Marketing team to identify opportunities to connect with ESL’s audience online.
  • Run communication campaigns across all available channels (social platforms, newsletters, websites, blogs, etc.) and build ESL’s community around the industry’s core topics.
  • Share ESL’s content online (internal and / or external platforms) and create a community around key topics whilst building strong relationships with the industry’s influencers.
  • Develop and support the content strategy with the help of marketing and SEO tools – content audits, personas, keyword research, etc.

Los casi tres meses que he pasado en Ciudad del Cabo han sido simplemente increíbles. Con mis casi 30 años, al principio sentía que ya se me había pasado el momento para este tipo de viajes, pero a medida que pasaba el tiempo me encontré más y más a gusto, ¡hasta el punto de no querer volver! Ciudad del Cabo es un ciudad impresionante, que ofrece todo tipo de actividades que hacer, playa, montaña, jazz, restaurantes de moda, mercadillos… Mires donde mires, siempre hay algo interesante que descubrir. La experiencia me sirvió para desconectar de la vorágine de vivir en una gran ciudad como Madrid y adoptar el "African style" dónde las prisas quedan a un lado. Además conseguí mi certificado CAE con buena nota, pues tuve la suerte de contar con grandes profesores. Gracias a ESL por ayudarme con este proyecto.

Nolwen Guilbaud

Realicé una estancia lingüística en Cambridge, en la escuela EC, que es realmente muy buena. Instalada en un edificio moderno, dispone de aulas totalmente equipadas y de pizarras táctiles y proyectores. Las clases son lúdicas y muy interesantes, sin duda te permitirán mejorar tu nivel de inglés. Además, el equipo de recepción y los profesores son muy amables y hacen todo lo posible por ayudarte cuando tienes algún problema. Se agradece mucho. Me conquistó su método de trabajo, el cual nos permitía participar a todos. En clase hay muy buen ambiente, lo cual permite conocer a la gente del grupo. Gracias a este método, mejoras tu expresión en inglés, tu comprensión, pero también la escritura. Personalmente, creo que mejoré en todos estos ámbitos.

También estoy muy contento con la organización de ESL y con el personal, que siempre está a la escucha y hace todo lo necesario para responder a todas tus preguntas.

Personalmente, me encantó mi estancia.

Disfruté mucho de mi tiempo en Liverpool School of English, fue una muy buena experiencia. Me gustó conocer gente de todo el mundo y practicar mi inglés con ellos, tanto a la hora de comer como durante las actividades del Social Programme. Cuando empecé en Liverpool School of English hace tres semanas, solo hablaba un poco de inglés: “my name is”, “I live in”, etc. Ahora puedo tener una conversación y entiendo todo lo que me preguntan y estoy muy contento. Liverpool es una ciudad con gente muy simpática y muchas nacionalidades diferentes, me encanta. Recomiendo Liverpool como ciudad para visitar y la Liverpool School of English para estudiar inglés. Me encantó.
